The Committee
What do we do?
The committee are basically the people that run the LGBT society, there are many positions available in the at the moment and if a position is avaliable that you are interested in then let us know, even if the place has been we can try and sort something out for you.
As well as organising our events we are here to help guide and support all LGBT students in the university equally, we never discriminate over race, age, sex, religion and it doesn't matter if you aren't out yet, we can support you through coming out, if that is what your wish.
If anyone has suffered racist abuse then could you contact our anti racism officer on our email address, please be the voice of change! Also if anybody has felt abused homophobically they can talk to us and we can inform the gay or lesbian rights officer on your behalf. This year we have already had a couple of incidents in the university where we have supported the victims of homophobic taunts.
